Baby Girl
Amber McCartney + Tasdance
A dance performance of a figure caught between their body’s original memories and the persona of a new, otherworldly being.
Accessibility Information
Physical access
The Nolan Gallery is accessible via lifts within the museum. Staff can help you navigate.
Accessible parking nearby
We recommend catching the ferry to Mona. By the time Mofo comes around, there’ll be an accessible entrance via tunnel if you need it. If this is you, make yourself known to staff on the ferry. The ferry departs Hobart from Brooke Street Pier (accessible via lift and ramp entrance). So does our wheelchair-accessible bus.
If driving to Mona, accessible parking spots are located in the main car park, approximately 300m from the museum entrance. Go to the top of the driveway, turn left and look for the signs. Alternatively, get dropped off at the bus stop at the top of the drive, approximately 200m from the museum entrance.
Perceivable written materials (such as large print, basic font)
If visiting Mona, we recommend downloading the O before your visit. It includes information about the art on display, plus a visitor guide and maps, pinpointing useful stuff like the three lifts, parent and carer room, and accessible toilets. The O supports VoiceOver and screen reader functionality.
Accessible toilets
Refer to the O or ask staff to point you in the direction of accessible toilets.
Quiet spaces/break out rooms for sensory relief
If you need somewhere quiet for a break, try the parent and carer room on B3. Speak to gallery staff if you need assistance.
Companion Cards
Companion Card holders can book a free ticket for their companion when buying tickets. Your Companion Card will be requested at the door.
