Nico Muhly: artist in residence
We’ve snaffled Nico Muhly to join us as our artist in residence for the 2023 festival: he’s a composer, pianist and curator who writes and composes orchestral music; works for the stage; music for film; choral music; chamber music; and sacred music. He’ll be working throughout the festival, and he / his works can be seen at these events:

An interactive choral performance where the audience dictates the entire program by choosing poems that move / interest them, and the choir performing works in response to their choices. Nico himself will also prepare a piece from a work picked by the audience, which’ll be performed to close the show.
