  • Reuben Lewis

Vivid, uncategorisable sonic adventures crafted using trumpet, synths, field recordings and sundry / mystical electronics.

    Friday 17 February, 10–11am

    Fairy Dell, Cataract Gorge, Launceston

  • Dale Gorfinkel + Michael McNab

‘Stylefree’ sonic explorations from lo-fi acoustic instrument builders. Dale Gorfinkel brings a fresh (literal) definition to the term ‘air drumming’ while Michael McNab unpacks the hidden sonorities of a polystyrene box—deep, resonant music made with the unlikeliest of materials.

    Saturday 18 February, 10–11am

    Fairy Dell, Cataract Gorge, Launceston

  • Yumi Umiumare: SereniTEA

Something a little different. Yumi will be running one of her PopUp Tearooms Series—sit down for a bowl of matcha tea, soak up the performances happening around the ceremony, and enjoy the, ahh, serenity.

    Sunday 19 February, 10–11am

    Fairy Dell, Cataract Gorge, Launceston

  • Vinod Prasanna

The performance will start with a deep, guided meditation, before Vinod pulls out the bansuri (flute) and draws on his family’s two and a half centuries of musical experience to take you on a meditative journey toward ‘divine peace’.

    Monday 20 February, 10–11am

    Fairy Dell, Cataract Gorge, Launceston

  • Bing/Santospirito

Hypnotic improv soundscapes for violin and guitar, gently smooshing classical improv against jazz and noise.

    Thursday 23 February, 10–11am

    LongHouse, 6 Evans Street, Hobart

  • Gabriella Smart

An all-embracing Cagean musical journey that explores the interplay of sound and silence, rendered using a Roli Seaboard (which is a super vibe-y MIDI controller).

    Friday 24 February, 10–11am

    LongHouse, 6 Evans Street, Hobart

  • Khaled Arman

One of the world’s premier players of the rubab (Afghan lute), doing his thing.
